My mother’s frozen shoulder pain started to heal fully and rapdily once she started seeing an ART therapist in conjunction with her home routine.I highly recomend finding a qualified, certified practicioner in your area asap! Here is general information on Active Release Therapy or ART for short.
ART consists of a very specific soft-tissue chiropractic method to help heal injuries. It uses certain postures, depending on your injury,to free up the limited range of motion and ‘get into’ the injured area, freeing up the constricted tissue, enabling it to heal.
ART actually helps to break up scar tissue that is causing pain and limitation of range of motion in a person. It’s really quite fascinating, and effective! The below book will give you a plethora of additional information if this feels right to you,but you will need to look up a qualified practicioner to actually get the technique performed. I will say this,my mother was doing well with various home physical therapy techniques but her progress shot through the roof when she started going to see someone for ART.She was far into the process though,so my first recomendation is of course a comprehensive, qualified home program such as this.
Just as a quick note, the below book is excellent information, but it is not a manual for home treatment. It’s simply a solid introduction to active release therapy. You would still need to find a local practicioner in order to get proper treatment.
Also, many ART’s will work with your insurance company,at least to some degree,so it’s certainly worth asking about. I encourage you to pursue whatever option feels best to you.
