Diabetes Can Cause Frozen Shoulder

Filed under: frozen shoulder — admin @ 6:35 pm

Just as a strong reminder here. It’s so important to control our insulin levels through a balanced diet. This especially means controlling excessive carbohydrates(especially simple ones)

I suppose most folks wouldn’t even correlate diabetes with any type of shoulder pain but the evidence is overwhelming.

In the general population, frozen shoulder affects between 2 and 5 percent of people.

On the other hand, the diabetic population experiences this condition in at least 20% of it’s population!

THE FACTS Shoulder problems are not what come to mind when most people think of diabetes.

Theories abound, but it looks like excess glucose is building up in the scapular area and is in a way, binding or ‘gluing’ the muscle and collagen tissue together into a painful, restricted mess.

Just a quick post to take care of yourself to either heal frozen shoulder pain, or preferably, prevent it in the first place! Take care
