<p>I suppose most folks wouldn&#8217;t even correlate diabetes with any type of <a class="ld_link" href="http://www.frozenshoulderpainblog.com/frozen-shoulder/shoulder-pain" target=" " title="shoulder pain">shoulder pain</a> but the evidence is overwhelming.</p>
<p>In the general population, <a class="ld_link" href="http://www.frozenshoulderpainblog.com/uncategorized/defining-frozen-shoulder" target=" " title="frozen shoulder">frozen shoulder</a> affects between 2 and 5 percent of people.</p>
<p>On the other hand, the diabetic population experiences this condition in at least 20% of it&#8217;s population!</p>
<p><strong>THE FACTS</strong> Shoulder problems are not what come to mind when most people think of diabetes.</p>
<p>Theories abound, but it looks like excess glucose is building up in the scapular area and is in a way, binding or &#8216;gluing&#8217; the muscle and collagen tissue together into a painful, restricted mess.</p>
