Here is some great info on using certain essential oils for healing frozen shoulder pain.

Three years ago I was severely handicapped by frozen shoulder disorder, in which I lost my flexibility in my left shoulder over the period of a year and a half. Before anyone could put a name on it (I found the term online before I was diagnosed) I had been through two doctors and a lot of physical therapy. Nothing was able to loosen my arm, the therapy made it worse. I was on 2000 mg of Ultram (rx painkiller) just to get through the day without crying and could not sleep at night.

I saw an ad in a Christian magazine and called across the country to ask about Peace and Calming, and they also suggested using a combo of Thieves and Wintergreen on my shoulder to help ease the inflammation. Within a week I was forgetting to take my pain meds and was sleeping like a rock. The first weekend I slept almost all weekend long after rubbing some Peace & Calming on my feet.  I was able to start getting caught up on the lack of sleep immediately! I also had a couple of great massages with Valor and a raindrop which helped release much of the deeper inflammation. I was told that surgery was the only option to free my shoulder (it was still stuck at 7′ off my hip but not as painful). But my shoulder freed completely after my first EFT session with a trained energy medicine therapist (I went for other reasons and she asked if she could work on my shoulder). I love Young Living oils and still continue using them especially Joy, Peace & Calming, Purification (great for cat urine and skunk) and lemon & peppermint in drinking water!
