Frozen shoulder is the common name for adhesive capsulitis. It’s a medical condition that can cause extreme pain and a very limited range of motion(ROM) in the shoulder joint (glenohumeral socket) area. Frozen shoulder creates intense contraction of the capsule that surrounds and supports the shoulder girdle, hence its name adhesive CAPSULITIS. Although many articles and ‘experts’ will claim that the cause of frozen shoulder pain is unknown, that simply isn’t true. What is true however,is that it has a multitude of causitive factors. These include, but certainly aren’t limited to:

Any sort of injury to the shoulder area such as a strain or sprain.

Being out of spinal alignment relates to this as well and this is why seeing a qualified chiropractor is imperative in healing frozen shoulder pain.

Age,in a sense, can be a risk factor in developing frozen shoulder pain. The majority of people with frozen shoulder are women between forty and sixty years of age. This could very well be tied to hormonal changes that occur during this stage of life.

What I believe is a major factor in creating frozen shoulder in people that is not usually hit upon on most websites is the underlying emotional factor. Supressed emotions and painful memories that have not been properly processed can most certainly manifest as physical pain. The mind/body connection has been proven by both scientific studies,as of late,as well as ancient wisdom for thousands of years.
If you are interested in healing the root cause of physical symptoms I refer you to the EFT website at www.emofree.com and books by current healing/spiritual genius minds such as Deepak Chopra and Bruce Lipton.

Diabetes has been found to be highly related to developing frozen shoulder pain. It’s one more reason to control carbohydrate intake and live a healthy lifestyle to avoid this dangerous, painful condition.

Frozen shoulder starts with a stiffening, contracting effect of the shoulder area where adhesive bands are formed, restricting motion. It then proceeds through two additional stages as is shown below.

-First,the painful, freezing state. This stage normally has the highest level of acute pain. Range of motion is starting to becoming impaired, but its not nearly as stiff the next phase. Most people will claim that this stage takes anywhere from six to twelve weeks to move through but that is with the old paradigm of healing. Using the above mentioned mind/body techniques along with the proper physiological support, healing can go MUCH,MUCH quicker. Don’t suffer through drawn out pain just because it has been dubbed ‘normal’ by an outmoded modality of medicine.

-Second comes the actual frozen stage, where it gets its notorious name. The pain normally diminishes during this stage, but this is where you really lose your range of motion. Movement can be extremely limited, making it hard to even comb your hair, brush your teeth, button up your shirt,or anything else that involves raising your arm above your head. ‘Normal’ timeframes to work through this phase are usually quoted from four to six months, but again, see my above comments and don’t succumb to this unnecessary, drawn out suffering.

-Third and finally comes the thawing stage. People at large will tell you this is a gradual drawn out phase, lasting as long as,or more, than a year! Please, please read into my above mentioned information. The information for quick, natural healing of frozen shoulder pain is there, and many have already benefitted from it. That is why I wrote this article, and created this blog as a whole. To help people heal their frozen shoulder far quicker than what is currently deemed as ‘normal’ and ‘unavoidable’. With the proper shoulder physical therapy, you will learn how to stretch the affected area to speed up healing. This, coupled with the above information should have you well on the road to a full, speedy recovery.

Let’s get a little bit inspirational today shall we?

I don’t know how long you’ve had frozen shoulder for but I know even one day is one day too many!

It can be easy to get bogged down in the stress and discomfort of the situation…but it is necessary from a mind/body connection to visualize and expect a full, quick recovery so let’s work on that right now.

What was your life before this condition hit you? Were you very active or were you rather sedentary even then? What kind of workouts did you do and how long were they for?

What was your sleep like? Did you rest a full 8 hours every night at the proper times? (10-6) Or did you toss a lot then too?

If into sports, what were they and what positions did you place? Was it pro, semi, amateur, or just for fun? Think back to how much you enjoyed participating in such things and try to hold those good feelings as a background to your day to day experience now.

How about all the little things you took for granted? Such as combing your hair, buttoning your shirt, or pulling on a pair of pants. Not to mention the other personal things like picking up your kids or grandchildren or maybe walking the dog through the park.

If you have trouble getting into the good stuff, here is a simple exercise for you. Just take all the bad stuff that’s bothering you now and find its opposite and focus on that instead.

What you think about expands so focus on the good. Using things like EFT can also help with this.

Good luck!

I've created this informational blog to help people get past it as quickly and painlessly as possible.

You see, my mother developed this problem a while back and she beat it!

So this blog is a combination of the objective research that I've done to try and help her, coupled with the subjective research that she has done experimenting on what worked and didn't work to get rid of her pain.

I'm very pleased to say that today she is pain free and has all of her range of motion back.

She did this with a specific set of physical therapy exercises along with the proper nutrition to feed her body what it needed to heal. She also used a combination of natural supplements to further enhance and speed up the healing process and eliminate pain.

So I hope you find this site of use, for the full story and to try out the actual program that she used, check this page out right here.

I wish you a speedy recovery from your adhesive capsulitis, and feel free to leave me any comments or drop me an email anytime.

Thanks, Justin

Adhesive capsulitis is more commonly known as frozen shoulder. It's a dreadfully painful, restrictive problem that affects the shoulder girdle.

Adhesive bands start to form and attach to themselves, constricting and causing extreme tightness, virtually eliminating a person's range of motion (ROM).

Couple this with the fact that this area contains a bountiful supply of nerves and it's a sure recipe for a world of hurt.

One of the strangest things about this disease is that sometimes there is seemingly no known cause. It just seems to appear out of the blue. I'm of the mind that there is an underlying subconscious emotional issue at work in cases like this. For this I recommend trying EFT.

In other cases there is a trauma to the shoulder area such as a car accident, rotator cuff sports injury, arthritis, etc that precedes it.

Deep tissue massage, acupuncture, physical therapy (especially active release therapy or ART for short) are all highly recommended treatments for this condition.

What I do not recommend is the use of drugs such as anti inflammatory meds and steroid cortisone injections. These area temporary fix at best and are more likely to cause other problems and delay healing.

Go the natural route and help your body heal itself.

While you can do the exercises at home, you need someone to guide you in order to get the right exercises down properly.

I highly recommend you check out this post right here for just such a program.

This program also provides in depth information on what kind of nutritional and supplemental help you'll need to speed healing to the highest level possible.

For immediate relief I would suggest trying moist heat and natural anti inflammatories such as enzymes w/o food. White willow bark extract can act as a natural pain killer as long as you are not allergic to aspirin.

Although it can be a devastating condition, adhesive capsulitis can be beat!

Go here now and get the details you need to start healing starting right now.

We have known the importance and benefits of the first six Ashtanga Namaskar Poses. We will conclude the Ashtanga Namaskar Yoga Asana series with the remaining six asanas.

7. Bhujangasana (Cobra pose)
Inhale – Om Hiranayagarbhaaya Namah

Benefits: This asana is very useful to keep your back in the fittest position. The spinal region becomes strong and very agile. This asana helps in creating a healthy circulation for your back. It tones your body as well as the spinal nerves. Your digestion is improved. It tones your liver as well as massages the kidneys. The male and female reproductive system improves. Irregular menstrual cycle problems are rectified too. With the increasing blood circulation your face gives a radiant look.

8. Parvatasana
Exhale – Om Mareechibhyoh Namaha

Benefits: This asana is the same asana you do in the No.5 position i.e Parvatasana. Like a mountain it helps in strengthening your arms and shoulders. Your back gets toned due to the elongation of the spine. This is a very good asana for people with bulging bellies as well as increasing waist-line. Any problem with the abdomen is also improved.

9. Ashwa-sanchalan-asana
Inhale -Om Adityaaya Namaha

This asana is the same asana you do in the No.4 position i.e Ashwa-sanchalan-asana. This pose is very useful for massaging your internal organs for better functionality. Your leg muscles are strengthened creating a proper balance. It affects your mind too as it helps it to remain calm and stable. Throat problems can be erased by regular exercise.

10. Pada Hastana
Exhale – Om Savitre Namaha

Benefits: This asana is the same asana you do in the No.3 position i.e Pada Hastana . Having problems with your feet or finger? This asana helps you correct it quickly. Your stomach and your digestive system are free from any complication. The bending of your torso helps your chest to broaden. Arms and hands become stronger too.

11. Hasta Uttanasana
Inhale – Om Arkaaya Namaha

Benefits: This asana is the same asana you do in the No.2 position i.e Hasta Uttanasana. The lifting and stretching of the arms helps the muscles in your arms. Your shoulder becomes strong and flexible. Your digestion improves as it tones the lungs while stretching. It is a good remedy to remove excess weight. This improves your vision tremendously.

12. Pranamasana
Exhale – Om Bhaaskaraaya Namah

Benefits: This asana is the same asana you do in the No.1 position i.e Pranamasana. This position clams your nerves as it eases your body and lets you have a sense of balance.

Ashtanga Namaskar asana ends with the same asana as we had started with i.e Pranamasana.

Warning: The reader of this article should exercise all precautions while attempting to perform any of the asanas. If you are suffering from any health problems consult your doctor and your yoga instructor before trying the asanas. The responsibility lies with the reader and not with the site or the writer.
